Big plans are in the works for a community Village Center in front of Roswell’s City Hall. The DDA (Downtown Development Authority) presented some findings for this proposed project plan. Plans were by Paulson Randall. Designs were by Lew Oliver Inc. The heartbeat intersection of the Canton Street/ Magnolia/Atlanta Street (SR 9) district would skip a few beats over to include City Hall as a major focal point. Some ideas in the proposals include redirection of Magnolia and Atlanta Street (SR 9) to include a pedestrian underpass, enlarging the existing park to extend closer to City Hall, and additional parking. The desired outcome of the proposed improvements is to expand on the existing success of the Canton Street District community, and building the infrastructure for a better quality of life by improving alongside the local communities of Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs.
